What makes you different from other local photographers? Why should someone hire you?

We train over 200 photographers in the charlotte area, including some Wedding Photographers.  We are full-time professional Photographers, we are not part-time or weekend only.  With the two of us, we are a team that can cover every angle of your wedding to make sure nothing is missed.  Knowing that your wedding is a once in a lifetime event, we are covered for all instances of issues that can occur at a wedding, we have professional backup gear as well as our main gear.

How quickly will I receive my prints?

We state we can do them within one month, but in every instance they are done sooner, with full professional retouching.

How many weddings have you photographed?

In my 30 years of photography, more than I can remember.

How many pictures do you take? Can I provide a list of posed photos for you to take?

We take thousands of photographs on your wedding day to insure you get only the best.  And, not only do we shoot digital, but also film for an artistic value that can only be accomplished with film.

We fully support you letting us know what shots you would like, we want your input.  In addition to the formals, posed dreamy shots, and photo journalistic captures, any you have in mind can be included.

How would you describe your photographic style? What does this mean?

Our style is Portrait Photojournalism, this is the best mix of photography for weddings and currently what brides are looking for the world over.  Photojournalistic shots tell a story of your special day and this makes us the best wedding photographers.

How far are you willing to travel? Is there a travel charge?

We are based in Matthews, NC, but we do cover all the states.  Although, anything greater than 50 miles from Charlotte we charge a travel fee accordingly.

Can we request both that both color and black & white photography be used at the wedding?

Color and Black and White photography including film are used.  When the photographs are fully retouched and put up on the secured wedding site, you can choose a color image or have it in black and white, whichever you prefer.

Do you bring an assistant to the wedding to help coordinate portraits?

We always work as a team, so myself and Sherri Ann cover all weddings and our style is very much the same so you will always get great quality and perfect images every time.

Can I keep the negatives? The proofs? Is there an extra charge for this service? How much?

We have several packages to choose from that include a CD of images.

What kind of equipment will you bring with you? Do you bring backup equipment? Lighting?

Nikon D700, Nikon D300, Nikon D200, Nikon F5, Nikon FG, all Nikon lenses, flashes and studio flashes, and ample supply of memory cards.  We always bring backups, again we teach Wedding Photography so we are geared the professional way always.

What new ideas have you implemented in the last couple years? Are you current with latest trends?

We have moved with the times to make sure we give what the brides of today what they want, our style lends to what brides around the world are looking for.  And, we are always open to what the Bride wants in her wedding, after all this is her day.

Will you be taking digital photographs? Is there an extra charge for this service?

We take the highest quality Digital images and Film images to make sure you get the very best of both.  No extra charge is added, this is all a part of our service to you.

Can guest’s view and order shots on-line? How soon will the photos be put on-line?

Within two weeks the photographs go up on our high quality secure wedding site.  Also, cards are printed for guests before the wedding day with a photograph of the couple, link and password to the site so every person at the event has information on how to access the couples photographs.  All orders can be made right from the site and drop shipped direct to the customers door.

What is included in your wedding packages?

Our Basic Package includes a print credit towards your choice, number, and size of photographs, DVD of images pre-cropped and sized for 4×6 prints, 4 hours of photography service, and an 8 x 10 Wedding Album.  We have several Packages to fit all budgets and all Packages can be customized to meet your needs.

What is your customer satisfaction cancellation policy?

We have never had a customer unhappy with our work in all the years we have been doing this.  We strive to be the best, most professional Wedding Photographers possible, and to ensure our customers are satisfied.

What is your event cancellation policy?

Due to the exclusive reservation of our services for the date you have selected, we have a non-refundable deposit fee policy.  But, in the event of a documented emergency, illness, or death we will provide an extension of up to six (6) months from the original reserved wedding date for you to reschedule an alternative wedding date which is agreeable for both parties.

What are your standard payment terms? How much is the deposit?

At the time of signing our Wedding Contract, we require a non-refundable deposit fee equal to 50% of the selected Package price in order to reserve the date.  We accept cash, checks, and all credit cards.  The remaining balance must be paid two (2) weeks before the wedding day.

Who exactly will be taking pictures at my wedding? Do you use subcontractors?

We never subcontract, your photographs will be taken by my partner and myself.  If by chance we have an unavoidable emergency making it impossible to make your wedding, only the best substitute Photographer will be selected for you by us to photograph your wedding.

How many months in advance do I need to reserve your services for my wedding date?

As soon as possible is always the best way, as our dates fill up quickly.  We will book as far in advance as requested.

What makes you different from other local portrait photographers? Why should someone hire you?

We train all the local photographers, so you’re hiring “the teacher”, not “the student”.  As Professional Photographers this is our full-time job and career.  We are not part-time, weekend only, or amateur Photographers.  Also, we are licensed and insured, and members of The Professional Photographers of America.

What are your standard payment terms?

We accept Cash, Credit Cards or Checks.  A 50% non-refundable deposit on day of signing the contract, with the remaining balance due two (2) weeks before the wedding.

What is your customer satisfaction policy?

With weddings, there are no second chances, and we fully understand that.  We make every effort to insure there are NO failures and always a happy bride.  Our reviews on weddingwire.com speak volumes.  Other Photographers offer a re-shoot or money back, we make certain that isn’t an option that has to be given.
