Banning social media (this is one we personally are super happy about!). Insta-Everything technology has gotten out of hand, Brides are offended when their guests are spending more time on their personal devices than being present at their wedding. Wedding couples are now including a polite note on ceremony programs and wedding websites for guests to turn off phones and enjoy the day with them. There are many reasons this is a great idea –it helps to avoid ruined “first looks” by guests posting on Facebook before the couple has even had a chance to see each other, ruined Professional Photographs because of an overzealous amateurs flash or guest blocking the shot, guests posting unflattering pictures online – the list goes on and on.
